The Monument to Volodymyr Vernads'kyi

Kiev is rich in wonderful places and different variety of architecture. One of the most outstanding monuments is the monument to Vladimir Vernadsky. It is located on the same boulevard from Victory Avenue. Opening of the monument to the great Soviet scientist, philosopher and first president of the Academy of Sciences of Ukraine was preparing for the 120th anniversary of Vernadsky, but took 2 years earlier. Statue made ​​of granite monolith. Sculptures depicted Vladimir Ivanovich hard at work: the scientist sitting and studying some mineral. The height of the monument is 6 meters.
