Monument to Taras Shevchenko on Monastyrskyi Island
Monument to the great Ukrainian poet Taras Shevchenko was established in Dnepropetrovsk in 1959. The monument is located in the same park, on the territory of the monastery island. Figure of the poet became the center of the park compositions and one of the main commemorative monuments of the city.
In the park is also located Dnepropetrovsk Zoo .
