Lugansk Regional Academic Russian Drama Theater named PB Luspekaeva
History of Lugansk regional drama theater dates back to 1939. Basis of the troupe made original graduates of the Leningrad Theatre School, as well as fifteen actors who have previously worked in other theaters. October 26 this year, has released its premier theater - the play, "Paul Greeks", based on a play by Boris Voytehova.
Lugansk Theatre pleased the audience only one season, and the Great Patriotic War. The entire troupe was evacuated to Uzbekistan, in the city of Namangan, where he continued his work. By 1942, performances were staged at the scene of the House officers, Theatre for Young People, as well as the local creamery in the club.
After the liberation of his native city theater back in Lugansk and opened the new season play "Wait for me" on the famous play by Konstantin Simonov. January 1, 1963, it was decided to merge the two regional theaters Ukrainian and Russian one Luhansk Regional Drama Theatre. As part of the renewed theater troupe there were two - Russian and Ukrainian. But the established practices of the combined theaters did not give proper results and complicated artistic and creative process.
In 2009, during the celebrations for the 70th anniversary of the founding, Lugansk Regional Russian Drama Theatre was awarded the title "Academic".
