Elisabeth Cathedral in Ozaryntsi

Elizabeth`s Church in Ozaryntsi - is an active Catholic church, which was rebuilt in the 1980s after a long period of destruction. Throughout the 20th century the Christian shrine premises used as local storage facilities. Fortunately, a unique architectural monument suffered slightly over the years, have been lost and only the interior church furniture. The magnificent façade in a restrained Roman style were able to recover without significant effort.

The monumental building with six columns and triangular roof is difficult to determine how the church building. It is no bell tower or tall towers, no part of the window with mosaics. The architecture of the temple is an example of the classical style of the late 19th century. Shrine was built for the Roman Catholic community. The modern church was erected in 1842 on the site of the destroyed temple, which was founded in the 1740s. Despite the small parish in the current Ozaryntsi population of about two thousand people, Elizabeth Church is a place of worship and the local popular attraction.

Visit the beautiful temple with a long history, it is worth to see and legendary water mill, built in Ozaryntsi. Age structures has more than 300 years. Mill perfectly preserved because attracts the attention of many visitors who come to the village. Around the same period, in 1657, there appeared a great fortress city of stone, the structure of which is unfortunately not survived.
