Cossack Picket

Places of military glory of the Ukrainian Cossacks still attract the attention of tourists and historians around the world. One of such places - Cossack Becket or observation point on the hill, with the help of which begins with an overview of the steppe, providing security area Cossack outpost. Becket was a wooden tower with a thatched roof, which housed 2-4 people. In addition, with the tower could give a signal - in case of danger out there to make a fire.

With Becket beautiful views of the   Samara forest, overseen by the Cossacks, and not far from the tower installed   a large wooden cross. Every visitor leaves the cross stone.

One of the well-preserved and reconstructed Beketov is near the village of Vasilevka (to be exact - between the villages Vasilevka and All Saints), the river Samara. In these parts of striking natural beauty, preserved almost in its original form.
