Horokhiv History Museum
Gorokhovskiy Museum revolutionary, military and labor glory was opened in 1967. The title of "People`s" museum received in 1968. Director of the museum was the local ethnographer, labor veteran Andrey Maksymenko. At that time, the museum exposition was located in the territory of the hill of Fame and was dismantled in 1975. The reason was that the museum was not heated, resulting in spoiled exhibits.
During 1990-1991, the museum has been a branch of the Volyn regional museum , and then became public. In 2000, in honor of the 9th anniversary of Ukraine`s Independence Museum was allocated a new room and changed the previous profile - a historic museum.
Now the museum presents exhibits of 1400, which are located on two floors of the museum. The main exhibition at the Historical Museum Gorohova devoted to "the formation of Ukrainian statehood" and "Stories Gorohovschini during the Great Patriotic War", also here there is a department of ethnography and a number of exhibitions with different themes.
The museum is open on weekdays from 09:00 to 18:00, Friday from 09:00 to 17:00. Output - Saturday, Sunday.
