Villa of the Mayor Raymond Yarosh, Drogobic
From 1909 until the collapse of the Austro-Hungarian Empire in Drohobych was the manager Raymond Yarosh. He was the last mayor of the city. Yarosh was known primarily as a successful entrepreneur, and founder and owner of the now well-known in Ukraine mineral resort Truskavets . Villa Mayor was built at the turn of 19-20 centuries by local entrepreneurs Shpitsmanami - known figures in Drohobych due to oil production. Architectural style - Viennese Secession. The building is decorated with stucco very rich. After the First World War the house was bought by R. Jaros. Today, here is the Schoolchildren`s Palace Drogobycha and dean`s office and several classrooms biological faculty Drohobych State Pedagogical University named after Ivan Franko.
