Snopkovsky Park

Snopkivskyy park in Lviv - a monument of landscape architecture of local importance. Today has become quite popular not only local. And the park is a large football stadium "Ukraine", which regularly hosts the best match of Ukrainian football.

History park

According to historical sources in the past the park area was a wasteland. It housed the abandoned industrial careers. In the years 1959-1963 on the site of quarries brickworks was laid Park neighborhood. Its area is 35.7 hectares, as reported by park information board.

In Soviet times, the park was the stadium, which was called "Friendship". In the 1990s, the park was renamed for the title area, and then it was bundles. The stadium started to bear the name "Ukraine".

What to see in the park

Part of the park is a regular high planning. However, most of the land planned for the landscape plateaus. Walk a broad, some reaching 10-12 meters in width. This is done in order to provide maximum throughput zazelenenoyi territory, leading to the stadium.

How to get there

Snopkivskyy park is on Davydov ridge between South streets, Crimean and Green. Nearby is another park called "Iron water". To get to the park can Vasyl Stus Street. Nearby is a stop "Academy of Arts" where the bus stop number 4A, 26, 30, 53 and 54.
