John Chrysostom Church, Poliana

Church of St. John Chrysostom in the village fields are related to the Ukrainian Greek Catholic Patriarchate. It is located on the territory of the ancient cemetery, where the main attraction is unusual tombstones and graves preserved from the 18th century.

The church itself was built in the 1770s, the x in the classical style with the typical architecture of a Greek cross, and decorative ornaments facade. On the walls you can see interesting deepening with sculptures of mythological heroes. Hallmark attractions considered bell tower, which is preserved in its original form. Her beautiful arches are the entrance to the church.

Since the beginning of the 19th century, the temple was used as a parochial school in the 20th century for a long time the church was closed. Today the temple restored and continues to operate, it is easy to see - a historic building located on a hill, away from village streets.
