Church of St. Spyridon Tremithous

The park "Youth" Sviatoshynsky district of the capital built a small church of St. pentagonal Spyridon. The idea of the creation of the temple dates back to 2009, when in Kiev were to arrive relics of the saint.

St Spyridon lived on the island of Cyprus and was famous for the gift of healing. He healed the sick, helping the poor, widows and orphans. The saint died more than 15 centuries ago, but these days does not stop helping people. The place where his relics are kept, always hung with gold gifts as a token of gratitude from those whom he healed. Themselves disguised power every six months and change shoes, because Spyridon continues to bear on the world their faith and wearing all the clothes.

The temple was consecrated in Kiev in 2010, Metropolitan Vladimir. Decorating the church is made in white and blue colors, decorated with a large temple dome with a cross and four small domes. The church held divine liturgy at 17:00 every night and morning worship at 08:30.
