Park Hill Christer, Kiev
Park "Gorka Christer" - a unique historical area, situated among the tangled streets of modern Kiev. "Hills Christer" call-preserved remains of a green forest, which in the 19th century belonged to the famous farmer William Christer.
Legendary garden figure by the name of Christer was a native of Saxony and arrived in the Russian empire for advice as a specialist weaving. His services were so high oplachevaemy that a few years later he bought a plot of land measuring 40 hectares. Since then, Saxon became engaged exclusively his favorite pastime - gardening. Farm Christer has grown and is the richest in Kiev by the end of the 1890s.
Next to the big house was built to please Christer, a beautiful two-story wooden building with gables and decorative columns. This architectural object can be considered in our days, unfortunately, rapidly decaying.
The rest of the park "Christer Hill" - is restored in the 2000s, land holdings farmer with new delicate benches, unusual bridges and comfortable alleys around the ponds.
