Memorable sign Orange Revolution
On Kontraktova Square in the capital of Ukraine is a stone weighing half a ton tent. Memorable sign of the Orange Revolution was opened in its first anniversary - November 6, 2005. A bronze plaque on the stone slab says that this place November 6, 2004, students have launched the first tent city of the Orange Revolution. Here, at the hem, placed campaign headquarters of the opposition.
Tents moved on Khreschatyk after the second round of the presidential elections and stood there until January 23, 2004 - before joining Viktor Yushchenko as President of Ukraine.
The tent is made of stone - not only a memorial of the Orange Revolution. Wall post office on Khreschatyk was covered with inscriptions in support, some of them now lies under glass.
