Syniavska ostrich farm

Are you tired of the monotonous entertainment and you want to try something new, while not leaving the country? Then an exotic trip to one of the ostrich farms just what you need.

Syniavska ostrich farm is located near the nature reserve "Mountain of God", on the outskirts of the village Sinyava. The road from Kiev will take you no more than an hour. Farm founded a local resident Vladimir Kovinko in 2002. It all started very modestly. Originally the farm were brought 30 black African ostriches from Belgium. Now on Sinyavskaya farm is home to over 100 species of the largest bird in the world.

Farm workers carry out for you a fascinating tour. You will be able to meet these exotic birds for Ukraine. The most daring visitors can feed the ostriches and ride them on horseback. Also, the guide tells many interesting facts about ostriches. For example, the eye black ostrich is bigger than its brain. Or that the ostrich in Greek means "sparrow-camel."

Besides ostriches, the farm has a mini-zoo. There you can see pheasants, pigeons, quails, ornamental chickens, horses and pigs. After a fascinating insight into the amazing birds have the opportunity to make a couple of pictures on memory and buy some "ostrich" souvenir. Admission fee is 10 hryvnia. Guide service will cost you another 30 hryvnia. The farm is open to visitors from 10:30 to 15:30 seven days a week.
