Nyvky park - a monument of landscape art. There are more than 90 types of unique trees.

The history of the park begins in 1972. Before the revolution, on the territory of the park located "Vasilkovsky cottages" - park, decorated with ponds and a large garden. Duch was the owner of the Governor-General Hilarion Vasilkovich. After his death, the park was transferred to the ownership of Holy Trinity Monastery, and during the revolution was nationalized.

New life "Vasilkovsky cottages" gained the 1930s, then in a huge mansion - the decoration of the park - look party workers. Since then, until the 1990s it housed cottages prominent communism. In 1990, the mansion was sold into private ownership, the new owner to take an active restoration and refurbishment of the mansion, but to complete the project by the end of it and failed.

The park was surrounded by a fence and is not available to the public until the 1960s. In 1962, the park was transferred into the possession of the city, its ennobled and opened for citizens. In those years, the park Nyvky was called "Park named XXII Congress of the CPSU."
