Holy Church Nikolska

One of the most interesting temples is considered Zaporozhye St. Nicholas Church. The origins of the temple takes from the church of St. Nicholas, originally located on the site of the tram ring forecourt old Zaporozhye station (now the station Zaporozhye-1). Some bind to the rail is not accidental: in the middle of October 1888 was the collapse of the imperial train, but Alexander III and his family members were not injured. In honor of this miraculous rescue was initiated by the construction of the Church of St. Nicholas.

After the 1917 revolution and the subsequent reconstruction of the country and the soul-Church was in sight of the Bolsheviks, who regarded religion the opium of the people. But by the early `90s attitude to believers it was noticeably warm up and matured in 1991. The children parishioners of St. Nicholas Church took up the revival of the church. Rector from 1992 to the present day is Father Vladimir Bespalov, who has done a lot for the expansion and prosperity of the church.
