Reformed Church, Tyachev

In Tyachev is a unique historic building, founded during the reign of King of Hungary Laszlo Great. Period of construction of the space refers to the time after the Mongol invasion in 1576. The church originally belonged to the Greek Catholic community, but was then given to the congregation.

Reformed Church is a fortified building, supposed to protect parishioners and inhabitants of the city from the enemy, which was very topical solution during the constant wars. The building is reinforced by powerful buttresses and initially there were slit-like windows to be able to fire at the enemy.

Subsequently, the church has repeatedly rebuilt and repaired, which is reflected in the overall design of the building. Large-scale reconstruction was carried out only in 1810, when to the main building was added a clock tower, combined with a bell tower. Until today, the architecture of the monument remained unchanged, except for minor repairs. The church Tyachev until 1944 contains a unique library Mramorschiny. Another unique attraction of the city, the Church of St. Stephen , is also worth to visit it.
