Memorial House-Museum of P. Schmidt in Berdyansk

History Berdyansk associated with the names of two Petrov Schmidt. Father and son - two outstanding figures. Senior Peter Schmidt was the chief town and port of Berdyansk, thanks to him, the city`s infrastructure ennobled, friendly park, and he took care of the city`s cultural life. The son of the chief of the city, Peter Schmidt, Jr., was a famous revolutionary. It was he who in 1905 led a revolt on the ship "Ochakov". The house, which is now a museum spent his childhood Schmidt Bush.   He was a student of classical gymnasium in Berdyansk.

The idea to open a museum originated here back in the 70s of the 20th century, but it was created in 1980. It was a feast of the whole city. The museum has two floors, on the ground -   exhibits devoted family Schmidt and Schmidt Peter himself. Here are stored a lot of documents, photographs, personal belongings. Pearl collection -   antique piano. He was brought from Moscow to Berdyansk. It is a personal gift relatives stepmother Lieutenant Schmidt. When he was in Moscow, he often played on it a variety of compositions. Second floor - is a series of rooms, furnished as it was during the life of the house owners.
