Sugar Factory, Parafiyivka

Parafiyivka - a small village in Chernihiv region. Tourists visit it often. However, there are objects that are worth attention. This old sugar mill with an interesting history.

History Parafiyivskoho sugar factory

Sugar Factory Parafiyivtsi began to build in 1846. The funds for this at the landlord gave Tarnowski.

In 1852 there started production of sugar. Already in the first year the plant has brought considerable profits to the owner. This was due to the fact that it was built on the advanced technology of the time and installed the latest equipment.

Enterprise equipped with steam engines, which enabled him to be a long time leader in the sugar industry. Interestingly, the bond is not used, and volunteer labor. Parafiyivskyy sugar factory at that time was one of the most powerful in the province.

1897 bought the factory in Parafiyivtsi "Sugar King" Paul Kharitonenko. He gave the name of the company to his daughter Elena, so it became known Olenevsky.

1898 in Parafiyivtsi specifically for reconstruction sugar production built a brick factory. This made it possible to create jobs and produce high-quality bricks.

In the years 1903-1904 held at the refineries Parafiyivskiy reconstruction and modernization of production. The plant expanded, it built new buildings and building workers. Improved equipment and installed electric motors.

1919 factory and estate Kharitonenko nationalized. After that the plant is not upgraded.

2011 sugar mill stopped working.

Sugar Factory is located in the village Parafiyivka Chernihivskoyi area . It can be reached by train. You need to go to the railway station Ichnia and then transfer to a bus or taxi.

Parafiyivka village also has a good regular bus service from the district center Ichnia where often busses to Kyiv and regional centers of Chernigov and Sumy.
