A plaque Potemkin

Grigory Potemkin - this is an outstanding historical figure. Considered the founder of cities such as   Kherson   and   Nikolaev . It was he who insisted on the creation of the Black Sea Fleet. Due to the large number of his services in many cities Potemkin erected monuments, plaques. One of them was installed in one of the old houses and timed to coincide with the 210th anniversary of the city of Nikolayev. Since 1999, a granite plaque reminds residents about its founder. On a plaque engraved with the portrait of Potemkin, and nearby there is an inscription: "General Field Marshal Grigory Potemkin, the founder and creator of Nikolaev Black Sea Fleet."

Name Potemkin keeps many legends and mysteries. Plaque is at the intersection of ul. Potemkin and the pedestrian street. Soviet. Walking on the beautiful modern city of Nikolaev, pays tribute to the man who created it all for their children.
