The church Ostrowiec

At the center of the village Ostrowiec is the Church of St. Cosmas and Damian. Thanks to this temple in the annals of the first entry of the village. In 1468 in his place stood the church of the Virgin Mary and all the saints. That this church donated money mogul Gashtold.

The present church was built in the 18th century in the classical style, formerly a Dominican monastery. In the second half of the 19th century, the church has undergone restructuring, but the architectural design of the building has not changed.

The church features a strict lines and simple decoration. The main entrance is decorated with a portico with white columns and the roof - a large main cross and several smaller ones. The interior of the church impresses with priceless icons of 18-19 centuries, many of which can be touched.
