Church of the Holy Trinity, Mykulyntsi
The village Mykulyntsi in Ternopil rises majestically beautiful Church of the Holy Trinity. You can admire the elegance of its forms and richly decorated with lush detail characteristic of the Baroque. In niches vases and stone sculptures.
At the site of the present church in the 16th century was St. Anne, named after Anna Sinyavsky owned the castle. The temple was destroyed by the raids of the Turks and Tatars. Then in 1718 there was built a wooden church of St. John the Baptist.
Temple, which survives today, began to build in 1761 on the money Ludwika Pototskaya modeled on the church of the royal palace in Dresden. It was consecrated as the Church of the Holy Trinity in 1791, and a year later when it founded the monastery. And the temple and monastery were surrounded by a defensive wall. But soon the Austrian authorities closed the monastery, and the room was turned into a shelter for the poor.
In Soviet times, it was adapted for household needs, but not looted. Who`s frame belongs to the local Catholic community.
The church is located in a beautiful park, just opposite the Potocki Palace in Mikulintsah. Behind the temple is a long-standing Polish cemetery.
