Tomb Prokopovich
Prominent Ukrainian beekeeper and founder of the science of beekeeping in the village with an unusual name Fingers a monument - Tomb Prokopovich. Petro left a valuable legacy, which is now used worldwide.
History of Inventions Prokopovich
P. Prokopovich was born in 1775. The first creature brilliant scientist was published in 1814. He was folding frame beehive. Scientist greatly simplify the work of bees, made available to research komashynoyi families through the provision of a framework as an independent dwelling bees. It also made it possible to collect honey without expelling residents of the hive with smoke, as it did before. Today framework facilitated millions beekeepers worldwide.
Later skillful hands beekeeper created another invention. For pure honey within the scientist has invented a wooden wall with holes through which pass only the worker bees.
- In 1830 the school opened beekeeper Prokopovich, who was the first not only in the Russian Empire, but also the only one in Europe. The school is located in the village Fingers Chernigov region. - Scientist-beekeeper died in 1850. Countrymen loved and respected teacher and scholar, so he set sights memory in several cities of Ukraine. Beekeeping Institute in Kiev named after the beekeeper.

How to get there
Tomb relocated next to the village fingers. Access to the monument away from the M02 highway, so convenient to get to it without going to the settlement. The highway goes from the town Krolevets through Baturin to the highway intersection R67.
