City hospital named Athanasius and Olga Tropin

Hospital named Athanasius and Olga Tropin was the most "popular" building Kherson . It was built in 1914 at the expense of the brothers Ivan and Michael Tropin.

For a long time the city had no hospital   for ordinary citizens. In Kherson was a clinic for the nobility and the Jewish Hospital. Brothers Tropin empathized with the poor people, and they want help. Their means of open schools, colleges. And then, finally, they petitioned for allocation of land for the hospital. The land issue resolved immediately. Took place is not the best. It was almost on the edge of the city. Nearby was the Old Believers cemetery, and in numerous beams were brought filth of the city. But construction has begun. And in February 1914, this place was not found.

Hospital complex consists of 6 buildings. The main building - a surgical department. This is the only two-story building. At the entrance visitors are greeted by a plaque. It tells the story of the people who built this hospital. Housing connected alleys. In summer the hospital park is very green. Around heard the chirping of birds. During the opening of the hospital in the yard was planted oak. He is here to this day.   The century-old oak   symbolizes health and strength. In one corner of the yard was a small chapel. Hospital doors were always open to the common people.
