Church of St. Basil the Great, CBS

In the town of Kosov is the wooden church of St. Basil the Great, which is part of the monastery. The locals styled temple Moskalevsky, the title area, where it is installed.

A wooden church built in 1895. At the same time to the temple built a bell tower. The style of construction is traditional for the time - Hutsul. The decoration of the temple are numerous central administrations in the form of bulbs and one big tent.

In 2009 there was a fire, and the church was burned. However, in 2011 the church was rebuilt according to drawings and photographs preserved in the archive. The new church burnt down completely duplicates and is also made of wood.

From the center of the city should go to the river Rybnitsa. After moving across the bridge, you can see the church as the palm.

What to see near the church of St. Basil the Great

Near the temple is a monument to the fighters for freedom of Ukraine. The monument was raised in 1997. It laid the foundation with a list of names of local people who died for their homeland from 1939 to 1952.
