Museum Institute of arts and crafts, CBS

The history of this institution has its origins back in 1882 then Weaving Community based in Kosovo industrial school. Now in this building now houses the hostel of the institute. Then, one after another opened offices carving and joinery, engineering manufacturing fabric on the loom, carpet production, artistic embroidery, sewing.
Museum of the Institute of arts and crafts in Kosovo was established in 1936. The first director of School of Industrial Art was the AG Solomchenko. Today, it is a kind of scientific and educational center, which houses artistic heritage of several generations of famous Hutsul folk artists. Funds and exposition places contain more than 3 million artifacts. The museum exhibit Hutsul folk art of 19-20 centuries, the works of renowned contemporary craftsmen Kosiv. There is a valuable collection of Hutsul tiles, metal products, leather and wood.
