Museum Hrushevskoho Kryvorivnya
In the second half of the 19th century until the First World War Hutsul village Kryvorivnya served as a place for rest and fruitful work of all the colors of the creative intelligentsia of the time. On this blessed mountain resort every summer vacationing Ya Golovayky, Drahomanov, Kotsyubinsky, Franko, Lesia Ukrainka, Kurbas and many other prominent figures of Ukrainian science and culture. The famous Ukrainian historian, social and political activist Mikhail Hrushevsky became one of them.
His house-museum works in Kryvorivnya 2003 on the very spot where, in the early 20th century it was located villa.
On the advice of Ivan Franko Hrushevsky first he came to Kryvorivnya with his family in the summer of 1902. Over the next 5 years he lived here in the house of a local resident P. Zelenchuk. And in 1907 he bought a wealthy Pole Wladyslaw Pshibilovskogo wooden mansion in a place where Berezhnitskaya Inflow flows into the river Black Cheremosh.
From 1907 to 1914 Grushevskii with his wife and daughter spent every summer here. Inside, the house has been equipped in Hutsul style. Mikhail Sergeyevich here so much, that eventually he moved into his house krivorovensky part of its scientific library.
Civil War found Hrushevskoho here. He quickly went to Kiev . In 1917, the villa was burned. From Flawless manor remained only a foundation, a stable, a barn and cellar.
In 2003 the house was restored by the surviving projects and memoirs. He keeps biographical documents, photos, articles of daily use from the early 20th century. Renovated and study scientist. Here it exhibited rare thing and at the same time, a family heirloom - a rocking chair. Now there are scientific and practical conferences, photo exhibition, exhibition of artists.
