Church of St. John Cherhanivka
The village Cherganovka in Ivano-Frankivsk region is located on the banks of the river Valiyka. The first mention of it date back to 1644 year, when it was called Cherganov, and they are connected with a dedication to this village a certain rich Polish sir.
Right next to the road there is a temple. This wooden church Conception of St. John the Baptist (its full name), which was moved to the village Cherganovku Krasnoili in 1811. Rebuilt in 1842, it is a typical example of Hutsul architecture of the 19th century. Nearby there is a two-tiered stone bell tower, which was built in 1850.
To the east of the church on both sides adjacent to the same size houses. At the southern entrance there is a porch. The roof is hipped roof form. Previously, she was covered with shingles, now - a gesture. The belfry is located in the south-eastern part of the temple.
The church has significantly lost its original appearance. But it takes parishioners. Belongs to the Church of the UOC-KP. The temple is an architectural monument of local importance.
