Church of St. Paraskevi Sheshori

The picturesque village Sheshory is located in Ivano-Frankivsk region. Here you can fully experience the flavor of the local population, the spirit of history and identity Hutsul culture.

The wooden church of St. Paraskeva - one of the oldest cultural and religious monuments Sheshory. It was built and opened for parishioners in 1874. During the Soviet period the church suffered from inattention management, repair and restoration work was carried out practically. After returning to the bosom of the Ukrainian Greek Catholic Church in the 90s of the last century it has undergone multiple restoration work. Iconostasis was restored and is attempting to update the facade.

Today to see the pristine beauty of the wooden church is quite difficult because of local communities covered facade special sheets of tin, wooden window frames of the church was replaced with modern plastic counterparts. Unfortunately, it is virtually destroyed the authentic beauty of the temple, which is very frustrating for many visitors and guests of the church.
