Exaltation of the Cross Church, Mykytyntsi

In the past, at this point in the Kosovo region of Ivano-Frankivsk region has Barvinkovoe village. In 1375 the Polish king Jagiello gave it a certain gallant nobleman. His wife came here with his Gumen Nikita. In his honor, the village and later became known as Nikitintsami . In 1784 there was Vozdvizhenskaya church, later it was rebuilt into a belfry.

New wooden Exaltation church was built in 1859godu. This cult ensemble is a monument of architecture of national importance. It refers to the Ukrainian Greek Catholic Church. The temple festival is celebrated on September 27. Church of Exaltation of the Holy Cross - one of the oldest and most beautiful in the Kosovo region is a kind of standard typical Hutsul School of Wooden Architecture.

Cross in terms of the church has one dome. On the northern and southern edges of the adjacent miniature temple felling. At the main portal has a porch on the poster of cut. Previously, the entire structure, in addition to the dome was coated shingles. Top parishioners blocked the tin. The interior of the church contains murals painted (tempera) of the 19th century. On the west side of the church is also made of wooden belfry with the tip of a tent with three tiers.

In 1848, not far from Vozdvizhenskoe temple was raised a stone cross to commemorate the abolition of serfdom.
