Assumption Catholic Church, Lysets
Back in the 17th century in the village Lisets built a wooden church, which stood until 1852, when the graph R. Stadium allocate the necessary amount of money for the construction of the stone church of the Assumption.
Dormition Abbey was built in the Romanesque style, the interior of which combines 5 altars. Another unique feature is the possibility to lead the church service of two different religions at the same time. Absolutely commonplace sight was when the church parishioners were Armenian and Latin denominations, in order to listen to the service carried out by two different priests.
The oldest and most valuable relic way the church was miraculous icon of the Blessed Virgin Mary. The image left the church in 1945, together with the Poles deported.
During Soviet times, the walls of the cathedral housed a cinema. Today`s Church returned to its original purpose and its doors are open to parishioners.
