St John the Baptist Monastery

The monastery was founded in 1925 in the village of Oak that in Transcarpathia. A few years later it was moved to the village Bedelya. In 1953, the monastery lived 12 monks. Despite this, the monastery was disbanded, and all the monks moved to Tereblyanske monastery, but its too soon closed. In 1991 the monastery was able to open its doors. It settled 6 monks and laid the foundation for a large church. Throughout 1992, the church regained its historical 8 hectares of land.

Now in its territory to build a large church of St. John the Baptist church in honor of the winter Pochayevskaya Mother of God, and there is a body that is home to 16 monks and the refectory.   In the church there are many shrines and icons with relics. The monks who live in the monastery, have their own farm and even an apiary.

St. John the Baptist Monastery -   a place steeped in history. Shrine through a lot, but managed to recover again.
