Nemirovsky Monastery

Nemirovsky Monastery

History Nemirovsky monastery dates back several centuries and traces its roots to 1645. Structures erected in the 17th century, did not last long - they demolished Tatars during his next invasion.

The revival of monastic cloister left a century. Its development has greatly contributed to Count Potocki, who gave the reconstructed monastery land and given over to the abode of his palace. Since this event is linked whole legend. It was rumored that the Count, who was a Catholic, did not welcome the appearance of an Orthodox monastery in their possessions. But at night he was an old man, demands the release of the palace under the charitable institutions. Earl did not listen to his exhortations. As a result, a miracle happened: one day he woke up in his own bed, the imposition of the yard.

Over the next century the monastery was upset, acquiring new buildings. Construction ceased: buildings were built of brick, which produced the monastery brick factory. There was Nicholas Church, one-storey housing for nuns, three-tiered bell tower. And most importantly - Trinity Church, which became the dyeing of the monastery. The monastery opened a religious school for poor girls, which eventually became the parish school. However, with the advent of Soviet power all declined. Church valuables were seized, and the monastery was closed. In the monastery was also an orphanage and school for children with special needs, and a school for agronomists.

The revival of the monastery began only in the 90s of the last century. Now ruined monastic cells refurbished over Trinity church bell tower was built.
