St Paraskeva Church, Myrne

Church of St. Paraskeva Srpska in the village of Peace is a large church with a tall steeple and spacious rooms. It was built in the late 19th century in the style of church eclecticism. Beautiful building with a grand exterior contrasts sharply with the rest of the buildings of the village. It can be seen from afar, towering over the low roofs of private houses.
The decision to build the capital of the stone church was made in 1874 after was destroyed by a small chapel standing in his place. The church became the Old Believers and in 1898 it significantly expanded, increasing the total area of the temple. Since this event involves a lot of unusual stories: extensions were found illegal, the authorities of the village demanded heavy fines, which replaced later on years of imprisonment.
The modern church of Agia Paraskevi is valid, it is stored inside the walls of the beauty of the original decor, well outside the restored facade.
