Church of Theodosius of the Caves
Church of St. Theodosius of the Caves was built in the late 17th century. It is an outstanding architectural monument of "Mazepa" baroque. The peculiarity of construction is extremely wide narthex with choirs on the second floor and two small stair towers.
Causes of construction of this church shrouded in many legends. One of them says that if you move the relics of St. Theodosius in the 11th century monks who carried the remains of cancer, they saw on the road a large dry stump. He stopped to rest, and put on top of the tomb. The next morning the monks saw that the tree stump covered with green shoots. It is on the site of the miracle was built the first wooden church. However, there is no smoke without fire. During the restoration of the temple in the late 20th century, the throne of the church were actually found the remains of the stump and was found under the floor of the burial ground.
