Pokrovska Church, Solomianka

In people, this church has long been known as the "Platonic church at the stadium." After all, it was ordered to be built in honor of the Metropolitan of Kiev and Galicia Gorodetsky, who died just a holiday Veil.

According to the authors of the project, a stone church (consecrated in 1897) is in the pseudo-Russian style. Arcade for bells marked out on the porch with arched portal, its crowning onion dome. In Soviet times, the church stopped its activities in its premises housed a sewing workshop. Suffered not only the temple decoration, but also the appearance - dome tent roof replaced.
