Literary Memorial Museum of Ivan Franko, Nahuyevychi

In the world there are 4 museums Ukrainian writer Ivan Franko, three of which are located in Ukraine. One of them - the literary-memorial complex in the village Nahuyevychi, settlement, where once the writer was born.

Ivan Franko Museum was opened after the Second World War - in 1946. At that time, all the exhibits were placed in the largest house of the village, which had no relation to the writer. Only in 1981 the museum "moved" closer to his father`s house Franko.

It is interesting that just a few years, a small hut-museum has turned into a huge historical complex. It includes a lot of stone and wooden sculptures, the museum building and the writer`s father`s house.

Entrance to the Museum of Literature marks the ensemble "Ivan Franko and world literature." In addition to the writer, sculptors captured images of the great prose writers whose works translated at different times of Franco. On stone pillars are depicted reliefs Tolstoy, A. Mickiewicz, Shota Rustaveli, Pushkin and many other masters of the word.

A literary museum is so vast that it takes two spacious halls. The first of them - this household items, school supplies, documents related to childhood and adolescence Franco, who have been in Drohobych. The most valuable exhibit of this collection is the "golden book" Drogobichskoy normal school where the writer. Interestingly, this document - a rating performance, and name of Ivan Franko is listed first in the list.
