Samborskaya Hall
Anyone who has ever visited Sambor, necessarily been to the area where the renowned town hall. Sorokametrovoy Tower is considered the oldest in Ukraine.
History of the Town Hall began in the late 14th century, after the receipt of the city of Magdeburg law. The first building was made of wood, but it was short-lived: it destroyed by fire. Town Hall was restored, but soon suffered the fate of its predecessor. The next building made of stone, with an octagonal tower and lantern. The two-storey building, made in the Renaissance style, appeared in 1670. The authors of the architectural ensemble were influenced by the works of the Italian masters, so there was a Renaissance portal.
Its present form Hall acquired only in the late 19th century, when the tower was decorated clock. Purchased in Prague, they were treated to a fabulous sum for that time - 1200 PLN!
