Ruins of the Church of the Nativity of the Blessed Virgin Mary
Church of the Nativity of the Blessed Virgin Mary can be found in the small village of Kamenka. It is located on a hill, away from other buildings humble town. Almost 200 years ago, this area belonged to a large German colony, with more than 3,000 people. Confessing Lutheran views on religion, settlement residents lined up to serve churches in the traditional style of old Europe.
Nativity of the Blessed Virgin Mary was built in 1850, is richly decorated inside and elegantly decorated outside. A distinctive feature of the church is a semicircular bay window of five arches at the rear side of the building. The main entrance is marked modestly small cornice and high door. The main style of the selected character with a strong Gothic confirming Lutheran approach to the structure of the church.
Decline beautiful temple began with the arrival of the Soviet era. Beginning with 1930`s building changed hands several times and perform a variety of functions, from storage facilities to the place of settlement of collective assembly. Since then, the church has never restored and the building quickly collapsed. At the moment, it is in a derelict state and represents the ruins.
