Nicholas Church, Chaiky

Church of St. Nicholas in the small village of Gulls appeared recently - it was built on the site of an old Cossack Nicholas Church, which dates back to the 18th century.

Unfortunately, the creation of Ukrainian architects could not survive under the Soviet regime. Three-headed wooden building of the temple was destroyed. For a long time the rural community along without the church.

Only in the early 2000s at the initiative of Archpriest Igor Polizhaki it managed to revive. In 2002, the foundation was laid for the shrine, which restores community UOC Moscow Patriarchate. After 2 years, Patriarch Filaret consecrated it in honor of St. Nicholas.
