Literary museum of Ukrainian Lesia Novograd Volyn
Literary Memorial Museum of Lesya Ukrainka is located in Novograd-Volyn Zhytomyr region. It is located in a small house where once lived the famous poet.
The museum was opened in 1971. It was timed to celebrate the centenary of the birth of L. Ukrainka. The museum building masters with maximum precision managed to recreate the atmosphere of the living room and children`s room at the time.
The greatest interest among the exhibits cause personal belongings L. Ukrainka. Among them: handmade embroidery, beads, cup, pencil case. The museum also presents other household items once owned by members of the family Kosach. Among them there are beautiful bronze and porcelain figurines, books, dishes, furniture.
In the literary-memorial museum there is a separate area in which the literary heritage of Ukrainian poet, reviews of other famous authors of works of Lesia Ukrainka works of the masters of the nation. In the courtyard of the museum is a bust of the poet.
The museum is open every day except Sunday and Monday, from 09:00 to 18:00.
