Historical museum, Novograd Volyn

Historical museum of the city Novograd Volyn does not have its own premises, so placed in the culture at the Museum of fighting glory. Its founder is a local resident Yefim Zagrivov who could not come to terms with the lack of local history museum in the city, so he decided to take his creation. Zagrivov 35 years collecting materials about the province and tried his best to convey information to all the tourists and the local population about the exhibits held in the museum.

In 2008, local authorities decided to give space for the museum of the former prison. While in the building are going to carry out reconstruction and historical museum was opened on the basis of other museums. After renovation it will be moved to the outside of Liberty and there will be placed all the exhibits, which managed to collect over the years.

Now the museum you can see different exhibitions devoted to topics such as the Second World War and the occupation of the city in the years 1941-1954, as well as the history of the city since 1257. In addition, there are stored the old books and historical documents, there is a large collection of coins, among which there are roman coins royal coins and money since the Cossacks. A special place is occupied with ethnographic elements and details of everyday life Polesie, have embroidered towels and shirts for this region.

Now the museum works and receives visitors from Monday to Friday, weekends - Saturday and Sunday.
