Church of the Ascension, Great Bobrik

Great Bobrik village is famous for its spectacular views. The building of the Ascension Church - a pearl of church architecture Sumy region. The temple was built in 1808 and is located on the background of the quiet countryside, beautiful oak trees and a pond. The dimensions of the temple affect its grandeur and monumentality. The building is still seen at the entrance to the village.

The architecture of this building is very original: arcade gallery with three spans and columns decorated with three-tiered bell tower in a classic style. The combination of white stone, elegant columns along the contours of the building and the azure dome of the temple gives an unusual look. Inside the temple is decorated with restored antique frescoes, pilasters in the Corinthian style, as well as the old iconostasis. This architectural structure attracts the eye with its beauty and grandeur.
