St. Michael`s Church, Voronezh

Michael Church in Voronezh - a masterpiece of Ukrainian baroque of the late 18th century. The church was   built by the architect I. Grigorovich-Barsky.   Church architecture combines the features of the Orthodox and Catholic churches of the late Baroque with overhead lines and a plurality of columns. Recognized as an ornament of the church are considered to be stylized images of the apostles-high reliefs on the walls of the church. West facade of the building - a traditional bell tower.   Painted Church engaged the famous painter N. Murashko.

The temple is divided into several levels: the top is dedicated to the Archangel Gabriel and the Archangel Michael, the bottom - Barbara and St. Nicholas. Today the temple pleases visitors scenic iconostasis reconstructed elements of domes and bell towers with overhead lines, small windows, arches and columns on the sides. Next to the church is the church and also parafialnaya school.
