Nicholas Church, Deaf

On Cathedral Square City   Glukhov, Sumy region is St. Nicholas Church, which   It refers to the ancient monuments of the city`s architecture. We built the church in the days of Zaporizhzhya Sich in 1693.   The author of the Cossack church made master Efimov. To build a temple in the elegant architectural style of Ukrainian Baroque.

In 1871, the church has undergone some changes in the external facade. To the west of the temple was added a three-tiered bell tower, and to the south - the sacristy with a high roof. Despite the small area, the church has a majestic silhouette, which is caused by the use of special methods of architectural construction. All chapters of the construction consists of several parts, the transitions between which connects flowing arches. The hetman times on the square in front of the church took place Cossack welcome.
