St. Nicholas Church, Lyubotin
St. Nicholas Church in Lyubotin - is part of the estate of local nobility. She wore the name "Gievka", its last owner was Kharkiv Governor-General D. Svyatopolk-Mirsky.
Construction was started in 1820, 13 years later the architect V. Maslovich visited the church and discovered the fragility of the architecture design. It was decided to dismantle the Cathedral and to begin new construction. However, insufficient funds were allocated and this process lasted very long. In the first year only dismantled the roof of the building. As a result of such violations wooden church was almost completely destroyed, so there was a question about the final closing of the cathedral. Construction of the stone church was reopened only in 1838. The cathedral was built in the classical style.
During the Second World War the church was severely damaged. During the Soviet period and did used to store grain.
Currently, the temple became the main decoration Lyubotin. It stands on a hill above the pond, giving particular scenic local landscape. Doors open again as shrines for the congregation, and for tourists.
