Kipyachevskiy Monastery of Our Lady of Kazan

This monastery Our Lady of Kazan   Located near the village of Chopovychi in Zhytomyr region.   This place is called the tract boil. This name was due to the age-old tradition: the nearby water spring in 1911 once boiled, and then became the healing of a sudden phenomenon fiery Kazan Icon of the Mother of God. Water in the miraculous manner was almost hot, so the terrain and dubbed.

After the construction of the Kazan chapel near the beneficial spring began to build a monastery. In 1917 there was founded the Holy Monastery of the Transfiguration. A little higher on the key built a modest wooden Church of the Beheading of John the Baptist.

In 1920, during the Civil War are all destroyed, but the monastery operated until 1934, after which it was destroyed by the Soviet authorities.

Right to exist once again received in 2002, according to the decision of the Holy Synod of the Ukrainian Orthodox Church.
