In the city of Zaporozhye is a monument to soldiers-internationalists. It is mainly dedicated to the memory of the dead Cossacks in Afghanistan. But the monument complex also includes commemorative plate countrymen perished in local wars around the world.

Opening of the monument took place in December 1995. The initiators of the monument made by local veteran internationalists. The author of the monument - Vladlen Dubinin.

The complex also includes a monument to two commemorative granite plaques. They are listed in chronological order of the country in wars involving not only the soldiers of Zaporozhye, and from all over the Soviet Union.
