Golden Rose Synagogue

Choral Synagogue "Golden Rose" - one of the greatest attractions of Dnepropetrovsk . The name itself is the beginning of folklore, its present name - "Touray Zahav." It is connected with the fact that the author of the ritual Code David Halevy often prayed here, and eventually it was decided to name the synagogue in honor of his work. But the name has been forgotten, it became known as "Touray reylz" which means "Golden Rose".

History of the synagogue

Synagogue built in 1852, and in 1929 the building was attached to the stage box. We create a project architect A. Dol`nikov Prokuratova brothers and designers. The synagogue survived the reconstruction of 1999, during which the stage box was moved to the 4th floor and connected to the volume of a four-storey annexe. During the construction of the frame to use a lot of metal that served as a reliable basis for fixing granite. In 2000, the synagogue was reconstructed, after which it opened its doors to worshipers. By 2002, the creation of the museum is completed, "the Holocaust", which was subsequently attached to the building of the synagogue. In summer 2010, it is closed for repairs prayer hall. The first service is held during the celebration of Rosh Hashanah (Jewish New Year).
