Monument to aviators, Berdyansk

In the resort town of Berdyansk is a monument to aviators. In the city there is a district called "military town", which is on the outskirts. The name of the area was because there lived a military family who served here in the aviation regiment.

In the late 70-ies of Berdyansk was transferred Helicopter Regiment, formerly stationed at the airport of the city. After almost 10 years the city has left the squadron towing. By 1996, in Berdyansk left combat aircraft. In memory of the past, the military district of the memorial in honor of the pilots of the city. The monument is in the form of an aircraft wing, located on a small pedestal. Aircraft wing adorns the red star.
