Dermansky-Ostrog National Park, Ostrog

Dermansky-Ostrog park is shared by two adjacent interconnected areas. Its location - the eastern part of the lands of the Small Polesie, referred to as the Ostrog Valley. The park covers Zbitinki understand the local river that flows between the mountains and Kremenetskaya Mizotskim ridge. Created the park in winter 2009.

Park   area reaches 5.44 thousand. ha   land owned by the state. Park belongs to the natural, cultural and recreational organizations.   On its territory there are regular research. To date, the park has the status of national pride and is in Western Ukraine.

Plants and animals are represented by quite a large variety of species. There are more than 47 different species of herbs, shrubs and flowers. In the park area lives 19 species of animals, some of which are listed in the Red Book of Ukraine.

In the park there are alternately hills, plains, steep descents and ascents. There are small fields, shelterbelts with deciduous trees, interspersed with areas that are home to the local population. There is an ancient and historical sites - the fortress Ostrog . Once it was the patrimony of the princes of Ostrog. You can also visit the remains   Novomalinskogo castle . Each of these objects has its own unique history, its heroic past.

At the park area there are some protected areas, rather the development of tourist and sightseeing tours. Walking through the park Dermansky-Ostrog become a real decoration for travel on areas of western Ukraine.
